I’ve never thought of myself as a “content creator”, but I’ve certainly created content all over the place. That’s tweets, talks, podcasts, courses, articles, and of course The Network State book. Now, by popular request, I’m finally consolidating it all into one free newsletter at balajis.com which you can subscribe to here:
It’s free. All content will be free in perpetuity. That’s essays, talks, podcasts, prizes, and updates to The Network State book. And you can edit the details of your subscription here.
It’s friendly. In addition to the content, there’s a community at balajis.com/chat. Right now it’s also free. But to keep the community friendly, we reserve the right to (a) do content moderation and/or (b) require payment to comment. The payment would serve as a quality filter given our 100,000+ subscribers, and may eventually be used to issue membership NFTs.
It’s fun. Finally, I’d like to get creative with this by trying various experiments, some of which are iterations on things I’ve tried over the years. For example, in addition to distributing NFTs (like this), I’d like to issue prizes (like this), invest in subscribers (like this), hold in-person meetups (like this), integrate Discord, and do other fun stuff.
But wait, what’s the newsletter about? Well, it’s the long form version of everything I tweet about — but it’s specifically about the network state. And even more specifically, how we build the network state. That is, we’ll be using this newsletter to help bootstrap startup societies and network states all around the world, like Culdesac, Prospera, Cabin, Kift, and Zuzalu. If this interests you, join our chat and stay tuned for the next post!
Thrilled to see another legend join Substack. Free speech on this subscription network is critical to building a thriving network state. Let us thrive as the zombie state staggers in its death throes: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/how-to-make-substack-the-greatest-network
Stoked for this! :)
